The German Saturday School Bristol supports families and their children who grow up bilingually. We offer classes for children from the age of 3.5 to 11 years who are growing up bilingually and we teach adults who learn German as a foreign language.

Children’s classes take place on 24 Saturdays a year from 10:00 – 12:00 (term time only).
Adult classes take place on 24 Saturdays a year from 10:15 – 11:45 (term time only).

Teachers for children’s classes (£48 per session)
Assistants who support the teacher’s work during lessons (£19.50 per session)

Requirements for Teachers and Assistants:

✓ Initiative and an enjoyment of working with children
✓ Applicants should ideally be native German speakers (or have learned German to a sufficiently high level)
✓ Be prepared to undergo a DBS check
✓ Be prepared to work on a self-employed basis (we can provide help with this)
✓ In order to provide continuity for the children, we ask you to commit for at least one year

Requirements for Teachers:

✓ A background in teaching or experience in child or youth work is desirable. A teaching or nursery qualification is not necessarily required.

German Teacher for Adult Classes (beginners) – £31.50 per session

Requirements for Adult Class Teacher:

✓ Experience in Teaching German as a foreign language, in particular to adults
✓ Applicants should ideally be native German speakers (or have learned German to a sufficiently high level)
✓ Be prepared to work on a self-employed basis (we can provide help with this)
✓ In order to provide continuity, we ask you to commit for at least one year
