Our Philosophy

We want to support families in which children are brought up bilingually with German. We don’t just aim to linguistically stimulate the children and provide them with an opportunity to speak German, but also be a place and a community which the children can associate with their experience of the German language. We also want to experience the culture of the German-speaking world with the children by celebrating traditions, customs and festivals as well as with by enaging with personalities, geography and history.

The goal is to enthuse the children for the language and motivate them. A particular aim is to familiarise the older children with written German. The ability to read and write in a second language is a helpful and important aspect of experiencing the language.

Each meeting should be exciting, stimulating, enriching, at times challenging, and definitely fun. We would like the children to enjoy communicating with others of the same age in German and to improve their language skills.
